MASSAGE CARPE DIEM 5 (EN)

Our massages

The Californian

Created in the 1960s by the Esalen Institute in California, Californian massage aims to balance body and mind while providing deep relaxation. It combines techniques from Swedish, shiatsu, and Hawaiian massage in a holistic approach to well-being. Popularized in the 1970s as a therapeutic massage, it promotes relaxation, balance, and emotional harmony. The fluid and slow movements, performed with the hands and forearms, create a sensation of continuity. This massage enhances bodily and emotional awareness, reduces stress and anxiety, and promotes better sleep. Additionally, it stimulates blood and lymphatic circulation, thereby improving cellular oxygenation and the elimination of toxins.

Awakening massage

Created by Fanny Guénard at the « Corps en Vie » institute, the Awakening massage combines various traditional massage and reflexology techniques. Encouraging letting go, it provides great relaxation thanks to long, wide movements that relieve deep tensions and reharmonize body and mind. Transmitted exclusively by Fanny during workshops, this massage emphasizes energy anchoring, supported by yoga-meditation sessions for a good posture. The Awakening massage improves limb mobility by targeting areas of tension related to daily stress, while activating blood circulation.

Lomi-Lomi

The Lomi-Lomi massage, of Polynesian origin, is an ancestral Hawaiian practice used by the « Kahuna » for purification and regeneration. It aims to restore unity within oneself and with the world, promoting balance and harmony. Practiced in the spirit of ALOHA (Respect, Attention, Love), it connects the body, heart, and soul to the source of life by rebalancing the circulation of MANA, the vital energy. This massage utilizes the hands, forearms, and elbows to knead, press, and rub, with warm oil and broad, swift movements, evoking Hawaiian waves, all accompanied by Hawaiian music. It draws inspiration from the four elements: Earth: reinforces the sense of security. Water: fluidifies and opens to emotions. Air: soothes and connects to the world. Fire: stimulates and awakens joy.
